Due to insufficient financial support fund "Contemporary Music Centre" cancels International Jazz Artist's Competition „Sony Jazz Stage 2009".

In March, 2008 "Sony Jazz Stage" celebrated its 5th anniversary, and, by looking back at those five years, it's been a real joy for us. Among prizewinners there are many names that today deserve international recognition - Intars Busulis (LV), Kristaps Vanadziņš (LV), Jūlija Zakirova (LV), Kristina Svolkinaite (LT), Māris Plūme (LV), Peedu Kass (EE), Andris Buiķis (LV), Raimonda Vaičiūte (LT) etc. Besides, the last years also brought a sincere support from the audience.

The organizers will continue to search for other possibilities to carry out the idea, which gives opportunity not just for the young artists, but also for the audience - to notice and support the young talents in their future.
